Michigan Online Casino Has Banner July

After a June swoon, Michigan’s online casino players said hi to July, with bettors handing over $126.6 million to operators, which is up from last month’s $121.5 million figure, according to figures released by the the state’s gaming control board.

But while first-place BetMGM continued its dominance with $48 million in gaming receipts, there was a significant change in the leaderboard, as DraftKings wrested second place from FanDuel. DraftKings pulled in $19 million, with FanDuel notching $18.6 million for the month of July. 

Fourth place was BetRivers at $8.8 million, and fifth place saw Caesars solidifying its standing with a $6.2 million month, besting Golden Nugget, which finished at a hair under $6.2 million. Barstool took in $4.4 million, while WynnBet did $3.9 million.  

The laggards in Michigan were Four Winds at $3 million, Stars at $2.3 million, Soaring Eagle at $2.1 million, Parx at $1.5 million, PointsBet at $881,542, and TwinSpires at $398,574.

For the month, the online casinos paid $24.1 million in taxes to the state, $6.4 million to the city of Detroit, and another $2.7 million to tribal operators.
